The Veterans Outreach program was developed to support and serve our U.S. Military veteran population in Osceola County. Agency members recognize the sacrifice of our nation’s heroes and wish to do their part to assist those who have given to our country. The program comprises a sworn Deputy Sheriff who has served in the U.S. Military. The deputy utilizes their military experience to interact with our veterans and help them transition back into civilian life. Additionally, they work with various military and veteran organizations throughout the county to offer assistance and resources to the veterans in our community.
Veterans Outreach is also composed of the We Salute You and Veterans Initiating Change Through an Organized Response (V.I.C.T.O.R.). The We Salute You Program was created to recognize our veteran community’s heroic and selfless service. Members of our community may make nominations of local military veterans who they believe deserve recognition for their exemplary service. The V.I.C.T.O.R. Board was created to help veterans navigate through resources and provide assistance to veterans in need.
