The Youth Citizen’s Academy provides Osceola County boys and girls with a first-hand overview of law enforcement and community-related functions of their Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. This program educates young people about the operations and responsibilities of the sheriff’s office, fostering a stronger relationship between the youth and law enforcement. Participants gain hands-on experience and insights into police work, crime prevention, and the criminal justice system while developing leadership skills and civic engagement.
The Youth Citizen’s Academy is delivered by highly trained and experienced Deputies of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to participating in role-playing exercises, attendees will accompany on-duty police personnel within the different departments and divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.
