OCSO’s Tip-A-Cop event is a fundraising initiative where our deputies volunteer as waiters at a restaurant to raise funds for the Special Olympics Florida. The funds raised from the event are donated to support athletes with intellectual disabilities and to provide them with training, competitions, and other support services.
The event provides a unique opportunity for the community to engage with the sheriff’s office and support a worthy cause. It also helps to build positive relationships between our deputies and the community we serve, as our deputies can showcase their personalities and interact with the public in a friendly, non-confrontational environment.
The OCSO’s Tip-A-Cop event is an important initiative supporting the Special Olympics while strengthening the relationship between law enforcement officers and the community.
