Please join us in welcoming Tony Kirk, our new Director of Human Resources. Before joining OCSO, Tony was the Sr. Director for Human Resource Service for the last 7+ years with the School Board of Polk County, Florida.
Before working at Polk County Public Schools, Tony spent 28 years in law enforcement and retired as the Deputy Chief of Police from the Topeka, Kansas, Police Department. He also proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States military.
Tony earned a Master of Science in Total Quality Management and a Bachelor of Science from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas. He is also a certified professional in human resource management, as recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Tony has been married to his beautiful wife, Lisa, for the last 16 years, and they have (7) seven children and (12) twelve grandchildren. He enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with family and friends in his spare time.
