Job Description

The Fingerprint Technician provides fingerprinting services to the public, as well as felon registrants and sex offenders. This employee will perform clerical duties for the Forensic Division when not providing fingerprinting services. The employee will perform all duties listed below and any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or designee.

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to become FCIC/NCIC certified.
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony.
  • Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral character, false statement, perjury, or domestic violence.

Knowledge, Skills &Abilities:

  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must have good verbal communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess initiative and be able to prioritize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and the use of computers/technology.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to work in an internal environment for an extended period.
