Project E.A.S.E

Emergency Access Safe Entry is a program that utilizes lockboxes to gain entry into residences of elderly citizens or those with limited to no mobility in the event of an emergency.

What is Project E.A.S.E.
People 65 and over are at higher risk of injury due to falls. The Sheriff’s Office established Project E.A.S.E. to aid seniors during medical emergencies caused by falls or other non-ambulatory conditions.
Project E.A.S.E. allows deputies and emergency medical personnel to access a residence via a lock box. This service is offered to qualified elderly individuals or those who have limited or no mobility and who reside within the jurisdiction of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Qualifications for participation

  • Must have limited or no mobility.
  • Must agree to participate in the program and be responsible for the assigned equipment.
  • Will have the option to withdraw from the program at any time and for any reason.

The lock box code will be provided to emergency personnel and utilized only in emergency situations.
The code will not be shared with anyone who is not emergency personnel.
Cost
This program is free to qualified individuals. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office will cover costs associated with the lock box and installation through grant funding.
Any key(s) to the residence will be provided to the Sheriff’s Office at the expense of the occupant.

Lock Box Options

Two lock box options will be made available.
One option can be affixed to a doorknob fence or railing.

One option can be affixed to a doorknob fence or railing.

The second option is mounted on a wall or stationary surface.
